Area Shut-ins to See Cinerama Today
Salt Lake Tribune, 13 October 1966, page 24B
Thanks to the magic of Cinerama, some 800 handicapped and shut-in persons
will go on a tour of Russia Thursday at 1:15 p.m. at the Villa Theatre,
3092 Highland Dr.
The big event is the annual Cinerama showing for Salt Lake, Ogden, and
American Fork handicapped persons and shut-ins, sponsored by The Salt
Lake Tribune, the Villa Theatre and Fox-Intermountain Theater.
This year's show is "Russian Adventure," a travelogue spot-lighting
Moscow, the Volga River, the North Pole and countless other highlights
of the vast reaches of Russia. It is narrated by Bing Crosby.
The program treats a near-capacity crowd of youngsters and oldsters from
area day-care centers, children's hospitals, and nursing homes.
